Sergey Rabotyagov

Sergey Rabotyagov is Assistant Professor of Natural Resource Economics at the School of Forest Resources, University of Washington. His current research interests include ways of efficiently procuring ecosystem services from working forests and agricultural lands, environmental impacts of energy crop production, the economic value of urban birds, and finding lowest-cost solutions to reduce non-point source pollution on watershed scales. He grew up in Belgorod, Russia, and holds MS and PhD degrees in economics from Iowa State University.

Research Staff

Luke W. Rogers

Luke Rogers

Luke Rogers is a Research Scientist at the UW School of Forest Resources and works on the technical development of the ECOSEL platform and website. Graduate Students

Nóra Könnyű

Nora Konnyu

Nóra Könnyű is a PhD student interested in the new economic perspectives of forestry. She has been involved in both the auction and the optimization modules of ECOSEL. She has worked on a simple game theoretical simulation model of the auction mechanism. Her current focus is to elaborate on a harvest scheduling algorithm that could improve upon the optimization module.

Svetlana A. Kushch

Svetlana A. Kushch

Svetlana is a graduate student at the UW School of Forest Resources. Svetlana assists Dr. Sándor Tóth in building optimization models for ECOSEL project. She worked on implementation of the bidding platform and developed components of ECOSEL web page.

Gabrielle Roesch

Gabrielle Roesch

Gabrielle Roesch is a Graduate student working towards her an M.S. in Environmental Economics. She will be conducting a stated preferences survey for forest ecosystem services to aid in research and development for the ECOSEL project.
